1. What this site is

DubOrSub is a free, informational website that visualizes sub-versus-dub preferences for anime around the world. By using this site you agree to these terms.

2. Accuracy of data

The data shown is approximate. It combines published research with anonymous, community-submitted responses, neither of which we can independently verify. The map is provided "as is", for entertainment and general information only, without warranties of any kind. Do not rely on it for commercial, academic, or legal decisions.

3. Acceptable use & voting rules

One vote per person: duplicate votes from the same connection are automatically rejected
Do not submit automated or bulk survey responses, or attempt to circumvent the one-vote limit
Do not scrape the site or its API at abusive rates
Do not attempt to disrupt or compromise the service

Vote submissions are rate-limited and deduplicated using an irreversible hash of your connection (see the Privacy Policy). We may block access or discard votes that violate these rules.

4. How your submission is used

When you submit a vote you confirm that you agree your response may be displayed publicly on the map and used for anonymous, aggregated statistics. Responses contain no identifying information. We do not run ads and we do not sell your data — submissions are used only to power the map and the statistics shown on this site.

5. No accounts; optional support

This site requires no registration and gates nothing behind payment. There are no paid features. You may optionally support the project through a voluntary donation, but this is a gift and buys no product, service, or advantage.

6. Intellectual property

Aggregated preference data may be reused with attribution to DubOrSub.com

Scraping is not permitted. Automated collection of data from this site (including its API endpoints) without prior written permission is prohibited. If you need a dataset export, email contact@duborsub.com, we'll send you the data directly so you don't need to scrape.

7. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
